Persatuan Peladang Pertanian Brunei (PPPB) or the Brunei Association of Agriculture Farmers was

established in 2021 with the support from the Department of Agriculture and Agrifood under the

Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism.

On the 3rd January 2024 PPPB held an Annual General Meeting where the new Executive Committee

were elected, where Yang Berhormat Pengiran Hj Isa bin Pengiran Aliuddin succeeded Yang Mulia

Awang Hj Mohaimin bin Hj Johari @ Jahari (Interim President) as the current President of PPPB 2024 to

2026.

The Executive Committee (2024-2026) members of the Association are YM Pengiran Hj Haris bin Pg Hj

Duraman as Deputy President I , YM Awang Haji Abdul Halim bin Haji Saim as Deputy President II, YM

Awang Hj Mohaimin bin Hj Johari @ Jahari as Vice President , YM Dayang Nur Hazel Lim and YM Dayang

Hjh Rosita bt Hj Hassan as Secretariat members, and YM Dayang Siti Nursyazwani bte Hj Awang and YM

Awang Hj Junit B Napiah as Treasurers.

A representative from each district was also elected as Committee Members of PPPB.

Tutong represented by YM Haji Awang Morshidi bin POKDSD Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Abd Rahman

Belait represented by YB Awang Haji Md Salleh Bin Haji Othman

Temburong represented by YB Awang Hj Sulaiman bin Haji Nasir

The objective of the PPPB is to jointly support efforts towards diversifying the national economic base

through the rapid growth of local agricultural industry output with an emphasis on increasing

productivity and the use of high technology, as well as focusing on meeting domestic demand and the

export market while reducing dependence on import food and support the desire to increase the level

of food security in the country, in addition to contributing to the growth of Gross Domestic Product

(GDP) as well as the generation of job opportunities in order to achieve the Brunei Vision 2035. PPPB

also has a goal to support the development of the downstream and support sectors, the logistics sector,

and the recycling sector related to agricultural activities in creating a circular economy.
